Students worked in pairs and then groups to make suggestions for how each of these actions applied to the Library setting. We now have a very full wall of post-its that can be turned into a Library Rules Poster (Watch this space!).
It's a bit late to be saying welcome back to the school year here in Australia as it's now week 7 but we have been working very hard in the Library and around the rest of the school preparing for a great start to 2015. The beginning of the year is always a great time to take another look at our rules and responsibilities in the Library and throughout the school. As we are preparing to introduce the Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) program at Bexley Public School this year, we focused on our three actions - Be an Active Learner, Be a Respectful Learner and Be a Safe Learner - and how they apply to the Library setting.
